Assists residents with prescribed medical treatment and personal care services by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Takes and records patients’ vital signs.
- Applies compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles.
- Observe residents and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge. Assist with self-administered specified medication and notes time and amount on residents’ records.
- Cleans equipment and supplies.
- Monitors food trays for prescribed diet.
- Records food and fluid intake and output, as required
- Answers residents’ calls.
- Inventories and requisitions supplies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 1 or more employees in the Resident Healthcare Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Must pass drug screening and background check.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid State Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse License; Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Memory Care experience is a plus!
